Needless to say, alot has been going on this summer. We've been having a great time with little Lily, who is growing so much and becoming more fun every single day as she becomes a little less of an infant and more of a person. A real-live person! It is amazing. At her 4 month Dr. visit (that we actually got around to at 4 1/2 months) she weighed in at a *whopping* 12 lbs 3 oz and was something like 23 in long, keeping her 15th percentile. This has earned her the nickname "Midget" amongst many others including, (but not limited to) the Pooks, Pookster, Pooksatawney Lil, Pooks a Million, the Lil, Peepy, and many more to come I am sure! New developments include eating solid foods from a spoon (pics to follow) and squealing to the top of her lungs which she thinks absolutely hysterical! (OK, so what if she's right?) It is pretty funny, I'll post a video if I can figure it out later. Until then, here are some recent pics:
The 4th was a monumental day for Lily (pun intended) -- her first REAL food (as in NOT rice cereal). APPLES- Which proved an early favorite. We've since added green beans, sweet potatoes, pears, squash, and carrots to our rotating menu. So far, Lily hasn't met a food she doesn't like! I'm really glad she isn't a picky eater. She can be a little particular at times, but is overall a very sweet and easy-going kid. We are so blessed!
Our little lady is quite taken by her tootsies these days. Which is especially convenient on those early mornings (as in before 6) when I bring her back to bed with me to steal a few more zzzzz's and I can't find a paci. A quick unsnapping of the footed jammies and there ya have it *POOF* instant pacifier. The only good example of an "open mouth, insert foot" situation I can think of.
Lily's first trip with Nanna and Poppy to Orange Beach.
Every time Poppy took her in the pool she fell fast asleep!
Of course we had to have a mini-photo shoot to document her first beach trip. But we couldn't keep her hands out of her mouth for most of it.
STINKER!

That's all for today, I will promise to try to be better! :) But you know what they say about good intentions...
